Rudgwick Football Club is proud to announce its promotion to the Southern Combination Football League Division Two – the highest level the club has reached in its 113-year history.

Following five strong seasons in the West Sussex Football League Premier Division, the Railwaymen have earned their place in Step 7 of the National League System. This promotion marks a new era for the club, which has been at the heart of the village since 1908.

Chairman Andrew Whitworth said:
"This is a milestone moment for Rudgwick FC – the result of years of hard work both on and off the pitch. Playing in the Southern Combination Football League has always been an ambition, and now it’s a reality. We’re building something special, and this step up is just the beginning."

Kieran Holmes Appointed First Team Manager

To lead the first team into this exciting new chapter, Rudgwick FC are delighted to confirm the appointment of Kieran Holmes as First Team Manager.

Kieran is no stranger to the club or the local football scene. A product of youth setups around Horsham, he brings with him years of playing experience at clubs including Holbrook and, most recently, Rudgwick FC. His development included time with Horsham FC’s U23s, where he trained regularly with the first team and was coached by ex-professionals and Isthmian League managers.

Over the past two seasons, Kieran has managed Rudgwick’s Sunday side to great success – including winning the Sussex Sunday Football League Division 4 title.

Kieran said:
"I’m passionate about Rudgwick Football Club because of its potential and ambition. My goal is to build a competitive and exciting team with a clear identity, and to establish a long-term structure for sustained success across the whole club. I’ve seen what we can achieve together, and I can’t wait to get started in this new role."

His leadership and passion are expected to inspire a new generation of players and supporters as Rudgwick FC prepares for life at its highest competitive level yet.
